The Adult Fellowship group takes 2 trips each year, one during the Spring and one as the leaves turn color in the fall.

Generally a bus trip for a weekend to an interesting spot within three to five hours from Newtown.

The group also sponsers a Christmas holiday dinner .

 

Current members of the committee who plans the activities are:

Helen and Paul Chreiman, Dottie Detwiler, Ruthellen and Norman Pannapacker and Dixie and Dave Scurlock

The Gateway To the Shenandoah Valley

April 17 – 18, 2010

Come join us for another greatTrip

 Saturday, April, 17                                                                                                                  We will leave the church parking lot at 7:00 A. M. and plan to arrive in Old Town Winchester just in time to enjoy lunch at the Cracker Barrel and enjoy some free time to explore the Old Town.  After lunch we will visit the Old Court House Civil War Museum which features over 3000 relics from the war. Next we have a guided tour of Stonewall Jackson’s Headquarters. Then we check into the Windham hotel and on to dinner and an evening performance at the Wayside Theater in Middletown, Va.

Sunday, April, 18                                                                                                                                                        After a continental breakfast at the hotel we will begin the day at the Civil War Orientation Center and then on to The Museum of the Shenandoah Valley which interprets the art, history, and culture of this great valley. The museum complex includes a historic house dating to the 18th century as well as six acres of spectacular gardens. We will have lunch at the museum complex and then begin our journey home. Estimated arrival time is 8:00 P.M.

                      (Cost is based upon 25 travelers. More Travelers will reduce the cost )

`           Package includes deluxe motorcoach transportation, one nights’ lodging with       baggage handling, one continental breakfast, one lunch, one dinner and  the show, all admissions, and taxes.( not included are lunch at Cracker Barrel, dinner on the way home and your thank you to our driver)

           

A deposit of $100 per person is due on or before Feb1st  balance  due by Mar 5th.
