Youth Group

7:00 P.M.

 

The UMW’s World Day of Prayer will be held on Friday, March 5th at the Newtown

Presbyterian Church at 7:00 P.M.  Members of our congregation will be participating.  Please plan to attend.  The focus country will be Cameroon, Africa.

 

All United Methodist Women (UMW) are invited to attend –  On Sunday, March 7th (please note date change)  following the second service at 11:00 A.M. a soup and dessert luncheon.  The program will be “Shaloca Ministries International Inc.” – Liberian Methodist Mission.  Please join us for a time of fellowship.  If you haven’t been able to attend our evening meetings, here’s a wonderful opportunity to meet other women in our church.  Any questions, please call Chris Bethman  or Ruthellen Pannapacker.

 

Communion Set Up Team -  We are looking for volunteers to assist us in our

communion set up.  Please sign up in the gallery or see Nancy Matthews.

 

Altar Flowers Listing for 2010 is in the gallery.  A donation of $30 is required.  Dates still available are May 23rd, June 13th, August 29th, October 31st and December 26th.

 

The Adult Fellowship Trip to Winchester, VA – April 17th -18th  Perkiomen has extended our sign-up date to February 28th.   They have extended our deposit date to February 28th also .  Please see or call Dottie Detwiler.  See sheets in the gallery.

 

Homeless Shelter  - We go the second Saturday of every month to prepare and serve breakfast.  We leave at 6:30 a.m. and return by 9:15 a.m.  Our next date

is Saturday, March 13th.  A sign-up sheet is in the gallery.

 

The Advance for February is Nothing But Nets. A $10.00 mosquito net might save the life of a child.  So please, give a child the opportunity to live a life of health and happiness by placing your donations in the Advance envelopes found in the pews.

 

Girl Scout Sunday, March 14th - Present and former Girl Scouts are invited to participate in the 10:00 a.m. service to celebrate the 98th anniversary of Girl Scouting.  Please call Gerry Hixson at 215-321-4315 to help with this.

This is the largest fundraiser we do all year!!!

 

Our Goods & Services Silent Auction and Dinner will be

Sunday, March 21st. 

All monies raised that day go to our 2010 Mission Team Trip. 

This year our team will be going back to

Kentucky in July. 

Please make a contribution to this wonderful auction and

join us for dinner at 4:00 on the 21st.

Here are some of the items we have received: a framed signed photo of Eagle’s Reggie Brown, wide receiver, 2 tickets to Longwood Gardens, 6 people – 2 hours of bowling, shoe rental and a pitcher of coke at The Brunswick Zone, 4 tickets to the Brandywine River Museum, 2 tickets to the Bristol Riverside Theatre and 4 tickets to the County Theater in Doylestown.  Our Goods & Services Congregational Dinner will be Sunday, March 21st at  4:00 P.M.  There is a sign-up sheet in the gallery.

We would be more than willing to teach or refresh forgotten skills.  As always, you do not need to attend the meetings to participate in the making of lapghans and baby blankets.
